i just read about this, and my brain literally exploded! it's a phenomenon called change blindness. essentially the deal is that it's impossible for our brain to pay attention to every little detail about everything, so sometimes our brain just doesnt. and then it acts like a bastard and bullshits us into believing that the thing we're looking at that has changed entirely, really didn't at all.

watch as they swap out a 6ft white guy for a 5ft asian girl, or a white guy for a black guy, mid sentence and no one notices!!!

so this is the utter and complete madness that took place at much music on saturday when the cast of twilight (nikki reed, kristen stewart, rachelle lafevre, and rob pattinson) showed up for an hour long "interview". i use that term loosely, btw. ANYWAYS, as cool as it would have been to go -- seeing as i live a few blocks away -- i decided to save both my hearing and what's left of my dignity!
